Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine, small needles through the skin (but not into nerves or veins!) to stimulate the body to improve its production of certain hormones and chemicals that help the body to become healthier. The needles used in acupuncture are so thin they are actually able to fit into those needles they use to take blood or inject vaccinations with.

The needles are so small and inserted so smoothly that the majority of people don’t even notice when they go in! Most people do feel something (link to FAQ what does it feel like?), and it is generally found that it is no where near as bad as what was initially thought! Rather, it is a pleasant, enjoyable experience.
