Tai Ji (literally translated as Supreme Fist – one of the uses of Tai Ji is as a martial art) is a series of slow, gentle movements that increase balance, flexibility, coordination and strength of the muscles and bones of the body. As well as doing these healthy, beneficial things, it also leaves people feeling peaceful and relaxed. That is the primary thrust of how this class is offered – as a healing tool. People are more than welcome to work towards using Tai Ji as a self defense art, but first and foremost the primary focus of Harmonious Health is one of healing.
